Also, the 'chest buster' scene is very gory, when an alien bursts out of a man's chest. The special effects overall are very good, and the scares and entertainment factor makes this a very good film. The sequel, Aliens' was even better, but this is definitely worth watching. 'Alien 3' was not very good, but it was still OK, and the ending was very good and sad. I have not seen any other films in the series, but I plan to. Overall, Alien was very scary,very shocking and great start to the Alien series.
